Magical mooncakes help bring in the festive season
Singapore, 19 July 2006 — Mid-Autumn Festival is an occasion to celebrate a

Starbucks celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with its new, innovative, range of handcrafted
snow-skin mooncakes –
Caramel Macchiato,
Cranberry Hibiscus and
Orange Citron, that make a delicious complement to your favorite coffee, as well
as great gift for friends and family.
This year, new ingredients have been added to produce a variety of creative and delectable
offerings for mooncake lovers in Singapore. Instead of the traditional lotus paste often used by
mooncake makers, Starbucks went a step further to experiment with bean paste. The results are
absolutely magical. Experience a smoky, caramel-like coffee sensation in one of our latest flavor,
the
Caramel Macchiato. Wrapped within light snow skin pastry with almond bits that add
another dimension to its multi layered taste profile, this mooncake is set to win the hearts of
coffee lovers.
Starbucks unique
Cranberry Hibiscus is another new flavor, with bits of Cranberry and Hibiscus
flowers in a smooth and light bean paste. Enveloped in hand crafted snow skin and accented with a
tinge of berry aroma, the Cranberry Hibiscus is indeed a floral sensation. The
Orange Citron is another Starbucks innovative masterpiece. Its golden slivers of
Orange peel and Lemon rind combine perfectly with bean paste, coupled with the soft and delicate
snow skin, makes for a refreshing and zesty aftertaste!
And for the very first time, Starbucks is also introducing the traditional baked skin.
Available only in
Caramel Macchiato flavor, its robust and caramel like flavors present a welcoming
richness to the luxurious taste of white lotus paste combined with bean paste, lovingly encased in
a thin layer of traditional baked skin.
