What is a FlavorLock bag?

It's our special bag with a one-way valve that allows the carbon dioxide released by freshly roasted coffee beans to escape a sealed coffee bag without allowing flavor-robbing oxygen to get in. All Starbucks coffee are sold in 250gm bags and are sealed in our airtight FlavorLock™ bags within two hours of roasting so that it stays fresh until you’re ready to use it.

How can I access Wi-Fi here at Starbucks?

Wi-Fi service is available at participating stores under the MyRepublic hotspot. You are given 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi each time you login and you may login as many times as you wish.

What grind should I use?

For the freshest tasting coffee, we will recommend starting with whole beans and grinding them fresh for each pot. Or, if you prefer, we can grind the coffee fresh upon purchase to cater for the different brewing methods used at home or office

Drip makers perform best with a grind specifically for a flat bottom or cone type filter. All Starbucks stores can grind coffee to this specification. Espresso machines are grind-sensitive and require a very fine grind, 30-35 seconds in a blade grinder. Slow and fast shots are often caused by a grind that is too fine or too coarse, frozen or refrigerated espresso beans and tamping coffee too hard or not firmly enough.

How does Starbucks Rewards™ program work?

You can join the program by first purchasing and activating a Starbucks Card in any of our stores by loading a minimum of S$10 onto your selected Starbucks Card. Next, simply register your Card by creating your account. Existing members can add new Cards to their account through the members' portal or the Starbucks Singapore mobile application. You can now start using it to pay for purchases in all participating Starbucks stores to start collecting Stars and earning rewards. For every S$1 you spend with your registered card you will earn 1 Star.

Welcome Level: Upon registering your first Starbucks Card to your Starbucks account, we will automatically enter you into the Welcome Level of Starbucks RewardsTM program, which means you will receive the following privileges:

  • A “buy-one-get-one free” drink
  • A complimentary drink size upgrade on your birthday month

Green Level: Once you have earned 60 Stars within 12 months, we will upgrade you to the Green Level of Starbucks RewardsTM program where you will receive the following privileges:

  • A complimentary drink with every 60 Stars*
  • A complimentary slice of cake with any hanfcrafted drink purchased in your birthday month
  • A one-time complimentary drink customization with any handcrafted drink purchased
  • A complimentary drink size upgrade on featured drinks^ during first week of launch

*Refers to additional Stars earned after reaching the Green Level
^Limited to one featured drink for each launch

Gold Level: After you earn 300 Stars within 12 months, we will upgrade you to the Gold Level of Starbucks RewardsTM program where you will receive the following privileges:

What is the best way to store coffee?

We will recommend storing it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place and grinding it just before brewing.  Once roasted, coffee begins to lose its flavor the longer it is exposed to air and moisture.  Coffee in an unopened FlavorLock™ bag will stay fresh for several months - check the “best by” date printed on the back of the bag.

How do I maintain Green Level status?

Once you qualify for the Green Level, you will be at that level for a full year from the date you qualified - this will be your anniversary date. You will then have one year to earn 60 Stars in order to extend your Green level membership for another year. If you earn 300 Stars in one year, you will be upgraded to Gold level. 

If you do not earn 60 Stars in one year, you will start the new year as a Welcome member. Stars are refreshed and reset every year and will not be brought forward.
