Albeit an early Sunday morning, Starbucks partners turned up bright and early at Chinese Garden to participate in Walk for Our Children 2009 in support of The Singapore Children’s Society, an independent non-government funded organization that helps nurture children and youth of all races and religions, especially those who are abused, neglected and/or from dysfunctional families.
Starbucks partners came together and volunteered for this cause by raising funds through the sale of carnival coupons and pledge card donations. We also set up a Starbucks stall at the event, with all proceeds benefiting the Society directly. |
