My Starbucks Rewards™ – Terms of Use

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE FOR MY STARBUCKS REWARDS™ PROGRAM (SINGAPORE) CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING OR USING THIS PROMOTIONAL PROGRAM, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS DESCRIBED HEREIN AND ALL TERMS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROGRAM.

These Terms of Use apply to your access to, and participation in, the My Starbucks Rewards™ program (“My Starbucks Rewards”) which is operated by Starbucks Coffee Singapore Private Ltd (“Starbucks”), a licensee of Starbucks Corporation in Singapore. These Terms of Use do not alter in any way the terms or conditions of any other agreement you may have with Starbucks for products, services or otherwise. Starbucks reserves the right to change, modify and/or terminate the My Starbucks Rewards program and/or these Terms of Use or any policy, FAQ, or guideline pertaining to My Starbucks Rewards at any time and in its sole discretion. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the revisions to www.starbucks.com.sg, and you waive any right you may have to receive specific notice of such changes or modifications. Your participation in My Starbucks Rewards confirms your acceptance of these Terms of Use and any such changes or modifications; therefore, you should review these Terms of Use and applicable policies from time to time to understand the terms and conditions that apply to My Starbucks Rewards. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you must stop participating in My Starbucks Rewards.

My Starbucks Rewards is not targeted towards, nor intended for use by, anyone under the age of 13. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may only use My Starbucks Rewards under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms of Use.

Please read the Starbucks Privacy Statement carefully to understand how Starbucks collects, uses and discloses information about its customers.


My Starbucks Rewards Program

Program overview

My Starbucks Rewards is one way in which Starbucks endeavors to reward and thank loyal customers for patronizing at Starbucks Coffee stores in Singapore. To enroll in My Starbucks Rewards and receive program benefits, you will first need to create a “Starbucks Card” account at Starbucks.com.sg/Card or with a Starbucks Singapore mobile application distributed by Starbucks in Singapore (“Starbucks Singapore mobile app”) and then activate and register at least one (1) Singapore activated Starbucks Card to your account. Starbucks Card activated in Singapore may include physical Starbucks branded plastic cards that are available and activated in participating Starbucks stores in Singapore as well as digital forms of the cards that are available and activated through Starbucks Singapore mobile apps or our Starbucks website, including Starbucks Card eGifts.

In these Terms of Use, “activation” means that you have loaded a minimum of S$10 onto your Starbucks Card for the first time. You can register any Starbucks Card activated in Singapore to your Starbucks Card account. The term “Starbucks Card” refers to a Starbucks Card that may be activated in Singapore only, and the term “registered Starbucks Card” refers to a Starbucks Card that has been activated in Singapore and registered to your Starbucks Card account at Starbucks.com.sg/Card or through the Starbucks Singapore mobile apps.

The Starbucks Card registration process may require that you provide certain personal information using the online registration form, including: username, password, email address, Starbucks Card number, and card security code (CSC), birthday, name, physical address, mobile number, and marketing preferences. All of your Starbucks Cards activated in Singapore can be registered for use in My Starbucks Rewards under these Terms of Use, but you may only have one (1) account personal to you.

My Starbucks Rewards benefits are determined based on the amount of “spending” you make and the number of “Stars” that you earn through your spending with your registered Starbucks Card(s) at participating Starbucks stores in Singapore only. No “Star” will be rewarded for purchases of Starbucks Card eGifts. For every five (5) Singapore dollar that you spend in Singapore with your registered Starbucks Card, you will receive five (5) “Stars” (Stars may be awarded only in a block of 5 Stars), except during limited time promotions when Starbucks may offer “Bonus Stars” on featured products and/or services.

Stars are for promotional purposes only and have no cash value. You can use any registered Starbucks Card to earn Stars for your spending. Please note that spending will only be calculated and Stars accumulated after the Starbucks Card is registered at Starbucks.com.sg/Card or through the Starbucks Singapore mobile apps.

Currently, there are three (3) levels of benefits in My Starbucks Rewards which are determined by the number of Stars that you accumulate in your account. By opening an account, and activating and registering a Starbucks Card, you will be automatically enrolled in My Starbucks Rewards at the Welcome Level. Earn at least seventy-five (75) Stars within the twelve (12)-month period following your enrollment date and you will proceed to the Green Level. If you earn at least three hundred (300) Stars within the twelve (12)-month period following your enrollment date, you will qualify for the Gold Level.

Once you reach a specific Level within My Starbucks Rewards, you will receive the benefits that are applicable to that Level only. However, you must continue to accumulate the Stars in order to maintain your benefit level:


  • To maintain the Welcome Level, you only need to register your activated Starbucks Card at Starbucks.com.sg/Card or through the Starbucks Singapore mobile apps.
  • To maintain the Green Level, you must earn at least seventy-five (75) new Stars during each consecutive twelve (12)-month period following the date you reached the Green Level. If you do not obtain seventy-five (75) Stars in twelve (12) months, you will be placed at the Welcome Level of My Starbucks Rewards and your Star balance will revert to zero.
  • To maintain the Gold Level, you must earn at least three hundred (300) new Stars during each consecutive twelve (12)-month period following the date you reached the Gold Level. If you do not obtain three hundred (300) Stars in twelve (12) months, you will be placed at the Green Level of My Starbucks Rewards and your Star balance will revert to zero.

  • Please note that “Stars” accumulated for each level will only be valid during the twelve (12) month period from the date when you reach the particular level. For example: You open a Starbucks Card account and activate your Starbucks Card at a participating Starbucks store on 1 November 2014 by loading S$10 onto the Starbucks Card. You register your Starbucks Card to your Starbucks Card account on 10 November 2014. Your are therefore automatically enrolled into the Welcome Level of My Starbucks Rewards on 10 November 2014 and your spending with your registered Starbucks Card will only start to earn Stars from your enrollment date. If you earn seventy-five (75) Stars on 15 December 2014, you will be placed on Green Level and entitled to Green Level benefits and your entitlement to Green Level benefits will expire on 14 December 2015. On 15 December 2015, your Stars balance will revert to zero. However, if you have accumulated seventy-five (75) Stars between 15 December 2014 to 14 December 2015 earning the required number of Stars to maintain your Green Level, you will continue to qualify at Green Level and be entitled to the various Green Level benefits for the 12-month period between 15 December 2015 and 14 December 2016. On 15 December 2016, your Stars balance will revert to zero.


    Welcome Level

    By opening an account, activating and registering your Starbucks Card, you are automatically entered into the “Welcome Level” of My Starbucks Rewards. Benefits may include:


  • One (1) Buy-One-Get-One drink reward upon registering your first Starbucks Card to your account:

    Your Buy-One-Get-One reward will be automatically loaded onto your account upon registration of the first Starbucks Card under your account and will be available to you for three (3) months. The offer for the Buy-One-Get-One reward expires after three (3) months. You must purchase your choice of a handcrafted drink with any of your registered Starbucks Cards in order to redeem this reward.

  • One (1) free drink size upgrade in your birthday month with the purchase of any handcrafted drink:

    Your complimentary birthday reward will be automatically loaded onto your account in your first birthday month after you are entered into the My Starbucks Rewards program. The offer for the free drink size upgrade expires on the last day of your relevant birthday month. You must purchase your choice of a handcrafted drink with any of your registered Starbucks Cards in order to redeem the size upgrade.


  • You will receive the Welcome Level benefits (excluding your complimentary birthday reward) only once throughout the entire period of your participation in My Starbucks Rewards regardless of the number of Starbucks Cards that you have registered to your account. You will no longer receive the Welcome Level benefits (excluding your complimentary birthday reward) after you advance to the Green Level or Gold Level and are placed at the Welcome Level again for any reason. In other words, you will continue to receive your complimentary birthday reward even after you advance to the Green Level or Gold Level and are placed at the Welcome Level again.


    Green Level

    After having accumulated seventy-five (75) Stars in a 12-month period, you advance from the Welcome Level to the “Green Level” of My Starbucks Rewards. During each 12-month period when you reach and/or maintain the Green Level, the benefits of the Green Level may include:


  • One (1) Buy-One-Get-One drink reward when you reach Green Level:

    Your Buy-One-Get-One reward will be automatically loaded onto your account when you reach Green Level and will be available to you for three (3) months. The offer for the Buy-One-Get-One reward expires after three (3) months. You must purchase your choice of a handcrafted drink with any of your registered Starbucks Cards in order to redeem this reward.

  • One (1) complimentary slice of cake in your birthday month with the purchase of any handcrafted drink:

    Your complimentary birthday rewards will be automatically loaded onto your account and will be available to you for your birthday month. The offer for the complimentary slice of cake expires on the last day of your birthday month. You must purchase your choice of any handcrafted drink with any of your registered Starbucks Cards in order to redeem your complimentary birthday reward.

  • One (1) free drink customization reward:

    Your free drink customization reward will be automatically loaded onto your account when you reach Green Level and will be available to you for three (3) months. The offer for the free drink customization expires after three (3) months. You must purchase your choice of a handcrafted drink with any of your registered Starbucks Cards in order to redeem this reward.

  • Free size upgrades for featured or promotional drinks:

    This benefit is only available when Starbucks launches a featured or promotional drink. You must use any of your registered Starbucks Cards to purchase a featured or promotional drink to enjoy free upgrade (to the next larger size) during the first week of its launch.



  • Gold Level

    After having accumulated three hundred (300) Stars in a 12-month period, you achieve the “Gold Level”.  During each 12-month period when you reach and/or maintain the Gold Level, the benefits of the Gold Level may include:


  • One (1) free drink when you reach Gold Level:

    Your complimentary drink reward will be automatically loaded onto your account when you reach Gold Level and will be available to you for three (3) months.  The offer for the free drink expires after three (3) months.

  • One (1) free drink customization reward

    Your free drink customization reward will be automatically loaded onto your account when you reach Green Level and will be available to you for three (3) months. The offer for the free drink customization expires after three (3) months. You must purchase your choice of the handcrafted drink with any of your registered Starbucks Cards in order to redeem your complimentary drink customization reward.

  • One (1) free drink with every sixty (60) new Stars earned:

    Once you reach the Gold Level, you will earn one (1) complimentary handcrafted drink with every sixty (60) new Stars earned. Your complimentary handcrafted drink will be automatically loaded onto your account and will be available to you for the duration of the three (3)-month period. This offer expires at the end of the three (3)-month period.

  • One (1) complimentary slice of cake and drink size upgrade in your birthday month with the purchase of any handcrafted drink:

    Your complimentary birthday rewards will be automatically loaded onto your account and will be available to you for your birthday month. The offer for the complimentary slice of cake and drink size upgrade expires on the last day of your birthday month. Both items for the complimentary slice of cake and drink size upgrade must be redeemed at the same time. If you choose to redeem only one item, the other item will immediately lapse and be forfeited. You must purchase your choice of any handcrafted drink with any of your registered Starbucks Cards in order to redeem your complimentary birthday rewards.


  • Free size upgrades for featured or promotional drinks:

    This benefit is only available when Starbucks launches a featured or promotional drink. You must use any of your registered Starbucks Cards to purchase a featured or promotional drink to enjoy free upgrade (to the next larger size) during the first week of its launch.

  • A personalized Gold Card (mailed to your physical address):

    In order to receive your personalized Gold Card, you must provide a valid physical mailing address. You can update your address by logging into your account at Starbucks.com.sg/Card or through the Starbucks Singapore mobile apps. If you do not provide a valid physical mailing address, Starbucks will not send you a Gold Card. You can still enjoy the Gold Level benefits using any Starbucks Card registered to your account. Your Gold Card will be delivered to your mailing address in six (6) to eight (8) weeks.

  • Additional personalized offers:

    Additional personalized offers, promotions and event invitations may be distributed by email or physical mail, so you must opt-in to receive such promotional and marketing offers from Starbucks. You must provide a valid email or physical mailing address in order to receive the additional offers, promotions and event invitations.



  • Miscellaneous

    Rewards are loaded electronically to your Starbucks Card account. You can view and track your available rewards on Starbucks.com.sg/Card or using the Starbucks Singapore mobile apps. Rewards may only be redeemed in participating Starbucks stores in Singapore. To redeem a reward under My Starbucks Rewards, you must present any of your registered Starbucks Card to the barista at a participating Starbucks store in Singapore. Unless specifically provided to the contrary, rewards for drinks do not apply to ready-to-drink beverages.

    Stars are accumulated and rewards are given based on the Starbucks Card account. For each reward item, only one reward will be given per one Starbucks Card account, regardless of the number of Starbucks Card that you have registered to that account.

    Unless specifically provided to the contrary, only one reward may be redeemed with each transaction regardless of the membership level. This means that you cannot use more than one reward together in the same transaction.

    There are no membership fees associated with My Starbucks Rewards. Stars and rewards accumulated under the program have no cash value. No Stars or rewards may be exchanged for cash.

    Starbucks may introduce promotion programs relating to My Starbucks Rewards whereby these Terms of Use may be varied as applicable to such programs.

    Your Stars, benefits, registered Starbucks Card(s), and your account under My Starbucks Rewards are personal to you, and except as expressly permitted under these Terms of Use or the rules of a promotional program, may not be sold, transferred or assigned to, or shared with family, friends or others.

    Starbucks reserves the right to terminate your account and/or your participation in My Starbucks Rewards if Starbucks determines in its sole discretion that you have violated these Terms of Use, or that the use of your account is unauthorized, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.

    Starbucks also reserves the right to “unregister” and make ineligible for My Starbucks Rewards any Starbucks Card that has been inactive for three (3) consecutive years. In these Terms of Use, “inactive” is defined as having no purchase activity.

    Starbucks reserves the right to terminate, discontinue, modify or cancel the My Starbucks Rewards program at any time and in its sole discretion by posting the revisions to www.starbucks.com.sg without giving specific notice to you.
