What is a FlavorLock bag?

It's our special bag with a one-way valve that allows the carbon dioxide released by freshly roasted coffee beans to escape a sealed coffee bag without allowing flavor-robbing oxygen to get in. All Starbucks coffee are sold in 250gm bags and are sealed in our airtight FlavorLock™ bags within two hours of roasting so that it stays fresh until you’re ready to use it.

 

How old do I have to be to work at Starbucks?

To work for Starbucks you must be at least 16 years old

Can a partner purchase a Starbucks Card?

Yes. A partner can participate in the My Starbucks RewardsTM program and earn rewards.

How do I register my Starbucks Card?

To register your Starbucks Card, simply go online to our Singapore website at www.starbucks.com.sg or use our Singapore Starbucks mobile app and follow the registration instructions and procedures given.  

What is a Starbucks eGift Card?

Starbucks eGift Card is equivalent to an online purchase of a Starbucks Card with pre-paid value and sent to your loved ones via the Starbucks Singapore Mobile Application or via the Starbucks website.

What is Starbucks Rewards™ program?

Starbucks Rewards™ is a membership program that rewards and thanks loyal customers for patronizing Starbucks stores in Singapore. The program benefits all Starbucks Rewards™ members as you earn Stars when you pay via your registered Starbucks Card at all participating Starbucks stores in Singapore, amongst other rewards. Additionally, if you sign up to receive communications from Starbucks when you register your Card, you will be among the first to receive news, exclusive offers and information about Starbucks.

 

What is Mobile Order & Pay?

Mobile Order & Pay allows customers to place an order in advance, pay ahead with a registered Starbucks Card and pick up at the store they’ve selected. It is a new feature of the Starbucks® Singapore mobile app, available for download on the App store and Google Play. With Mobile Order & Pay, you’ll collect Stars and earn Rewards with Starbucks Rewards just like you do when you pay in store.

How can I access Wi-Fi here at Starbucks?

Wi-Fi service is available at participating stores under the MyRepublic hotspot. You are given 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi each time you login and you may login as many times as you wish.

 

What grind should I use?

For the freshest tasting coffee, we will recommend starting with whole beans and grinding them fresh for each pot. Or, if you prefer, we can grind the coffee fresh upon purchase to cater for the different brewing methods used at home or office

Drip makers perform best with a grind specifically for a flat bottom or cone type filter. All Starbucks stores can grind coffee to this specification. Espresso machines are grind-sensitive and require a very fine grind, 30-35 seconds in a blade grinder. Slow and fast shots are often caused by a grind that is too fine or too coarse, frozen or refrigerated espresso beans and tamping coffee too hard or not firmly enough.

Can a partner earn rewards?

Yes. A partner can participate in the My Starbucks RewardsTM program and earn rewards.

How does Starbucks protect my privacy after I register my Starbucks Card?

Starbucks does not sell or share your personal information, including your name, address, phone number, email address, birth date, financial account information etc. with third parties.  We take great care in managing your personal information only in accordance with our Starbucks Privacy Statement.

How does Starbucks Rewards™ program work?

You can join the program by registering your Starbucks Card. Simply purchase a Starbucks Card in any of our stores (except for stores located at Changi Airport other than Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport) by loading a minimum of S$10. You can start collecting Stars and earning rewards by paying with your registered Starbucks Card. For every S$1 you spend, you will earn 1 Star, and for every 60 Stars earned, you can redeem a free reward.

There are three membership levels in this program.

Welcome level: Upon creating a new Starbucks account when you register your first Starbucks, we will automatically enter you into the Welcome level of Starbucks Rewards™ program, which means you will receive the following privileges: 

- A buy one get one free drink reward with your first 5 Stars
- A complimentary drink size upgrade in your birthday month
- Pay by phone

Green level: Once you have earned 60 Stars within 12 months, we will upgrade you to the Green level of Starbucks Rewards™ program where you will receive the following privileges:

- A complimentary drink with every 60 Stars
- A complimentary slice of cake with any handcrafted drink purchased in your birthday month
- Pay by phone

Gold level: After you earn 300 Stars within 12 months, we will upgrade you to the Gold level of Starbucks Rewards™ program where you will receive the following privileges:

- A complimentary drink or food item^ with every 60 Stars
- A complimentary drink in your birthday month
- A complimentary slice of cake with any handcrafted drink purchased in your birthday month
- 10% off merchandise in your birthday month*
- A complimentary drink size upgrade on featured drinks# during the first week of launch

I am encountering issues with the Wi-Fi, who should I contact?

We’re sorry the internet is down. The wireless internet is managed by MyRepublic and you can contact their support team at +65 3152 0480.

What is the best way to store coffee?

We will recommend storing it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place and grinding it just before brewing.  Once roasted, coffee begins to lose its flavor the longer it is exposed to air and moisture.  Coffee in an unopened FlavorLock™ bag will stay fresh for several months - check the “best by” date printed on the back of the bag.

 

How will I be notified whether I get the job?

What methods of payment can be used to activate or reload a Starbucks Card?

Cash, Nets or credit card can be used to activate and/or reload a Starbucks Card.
