What is a Starbucks eGift Card?

Starbucks eGift Card is equivalent to an online purchase of a Starbucks Card with pre-paid value and sent to your loved ones via the Starbucks Singapore Mobile Application or via the Starbucks website.

How will my friends or family receive the Starbucks eGift Card from me?

The recipient of your eGift will receive an email notifying them that they have received an eGift from you.

Does the Starbucks eGift Card expire?

The Starbucks eGift Card is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. After 30 days from the date of purchase, the eGift will be considered expired and no refund will be made or reimbursed to the sender of the Starbucks eGift Card. Extension of the validity period is not allowed.

Once the Starbucks eGift Card is redeemed, the usual 3 years validity period from the last transaction date applies for the Starbucks Card.

What happens if I (the sender) did not receive the email notification from Starbucks stating that my Starbucks eGift Card purchase is a success?

If I have an existing Starbucks Card and my friend sent me a Starbucks eGift Card, can I redeem for the pre-paid value of this eGift onto my existing Starbucks Card instead of getting a new Starbucks Card?

No, Starbucks eGift Card can only be loaded to a new card.

What happens if I change my mind and wish to do a refund of my Starbucks eGift Card purchase?

We regret to inform that we do NOT allow any refunds of the Starbucks eGift Card purchase. This is stated clearly in our pre-purchase Terms of Use for the Starbucks eGift Card on our App.

I would like to redeem the Card design shown in the eGift as a physical Starbucks Card. Is that possible?

No, you will not be able to redeem a physical Card in stores. However, a "Virtual Card" functions the same way as a physical Card and you're able to reload and make payment using the mobile app. 

What happens if I input a wrong email address for my friend for the Starbucks eGift Card purchase?

When will my friend receive the Starbucks eGift Card email notification for redemption?

We will send the email notification to your friend within the same day that the Starbucks eGift Card is purchased.

What happens if my friend didn’t receive the Starbuck eGift Card email notification for redemption from Starbucks?

Do get your friend to check in with their spam or trash folder within their email. If the email is still not found, kindly contact us at for assistance immediately.

What happens if my friend accidentally deleted the Starbucks eGift Card email notification before redeeming it?

Please inform your friend to check his/her Trash/Deleted mail box folder and retrieve the email. If he/she is unable to do so, please ask him/her to email for assistance.
