What is Mobile Order & Pay?

Mobile Order & Pay allows customers to place an order in advance, pay ahead with a registered Starbucks Card and pick up at the store they’ve selected. It is a new feature of the Starbucks® Singapore mobile app, available for download on the App store and Google Play. With Mobile Order & Pay, you’ll collect Stars and earn Rewards with Starbucks Rewards just like you do when you pay in store.

How do I get Mobile Order & Pay on my phone?

Gaining access to Mobile Order & Pay is easy, with only a few simple steps needed:

1. Download the latest Starbucks Singapore mobile app for iPhone® and Android™ on the Apple App store or Google Play store. If you are an existing user of Starbucks®
Singapore app, check the App Store or Play Store to ensure the app has been updated to the latest version.

2. Ensure location or GPS services are turned on to allow the app to display the eligible stores.

3. To use Mobile Order & Pay, users must first register to become a Starbucks Rewards™ member. If you’re an existing member, log into your account to start using Mobile Order & Pay.

4. Click on the "Order" option on the bottom of the screen and you are ready to use Mobile Order & Pay.


Why can’t I update Starbucks Singapore app to the latest version on my phone?

If you are an existing user of the Starbucks Singapore app and the app does not automatically update to the latest version, simply uninstall the existing app and download the latest version from the App Store or Google Play store to discover the new features.

How do I register for a Starbucks Rewards™ account if I’m not already a member?

Registering for Starbucks Rewards™ is easy. You can join the program by registering your Starbucks Card. Simply purchase a Starbucks Card in any of our stores (except for stores located at Changi Airport other than Starbucks Jewel Changi Airport) by loading a minimum of S$10. You can start collecting Stars and earning Rewards by paying with your registered Starbucks Card.

How do I place an order?

To use Mobile Order & Pay, follow these five easy steps:

1. Click on the "Order" option located on the bottom of the screen.

2. Select the beverage and food items to order: Just like our stores, beverages are customizable, including options to modify such as number of espresso shots, dairy selections and more.

3. Select the store for pick up: Approximate wait time will be shared prior to selecting your preferred store. Menu items will be updated based on availability after the store is selected. Directions to the selected store will also be available, if needed.

4. Confirm by clicking "Order”: Payment is made from the default registered Starbucks Card on your account.

5. Proceed to the selected Starbucks® store to pick up your food and beverages: Orders are sent to the selected store where baristas will prepare your order. When your order is ready for pick up, you will receive a notification message sent via the app. Then, ask a barista for your freshly made order at the usual pickup area.

How do I pick up my order?

When your order is ready for pick-up, you will receive a notification message sent via the Starbucks® Singapore app. Please proceed to the store you’ve selected within the estimated ‘ready by’ time shown on the app and collect your order at the pick-up area by presenting your order details to our barista.

How do I choose which store to place my order at?

When you use Mobile Order & Pay for the first time, the app will select the closest participating Starbucks store to your current location. The app will also display the current menu availability and estimated pick-up time for your order from that store. You can change stores by tapping the map or using the "Search" function. Once your order is submitted, you will not be able to change the pick-up store. For your subsequent Mobile Order & Pay orders, the default store selected will be that of your most recent Mobile Order & Pay purchase.

What can I purchase on Mobile Order & Pay?

Almost all your favorite Starbucks beverages and selected food items are available through Mobile Order & Pay. The “Order” section of the app has a menu which lists all available offerings at the participating stores. With a few taps on your phone, you can customize your favorite beverages and choose to have food items served warm, just as you can with in-store orders.

Are any in-store items not available on the Mobile Order & Pay menu?

While almost all your favorite Starbucks beverages are available through Mobile Order & Pay, we are currently not offering selected food items, Starbucks Reserve™ hand-brewed beverage, whole beans and merchandise for Mobile Order & Pay.


Why do some items display as "Temporarily out of stock" in the app even though they may still be available in the store?

If an item is almost sold out at the store, "Temporarily out of stock" will be displayed on the app should those items will be purchased by customers in queue at the store.  

Is there a maximum number of items that can be ordered through Mobile Order & Pay?

You can order a maximum of 15 items.

Can I place an order before a store is open?

Mobile Orders can only be made within the store operating hours.

How long will my order take through Mobile Order & Pay?

Before you place your order, an estimated prep time by the store chosen will be displayed. Once you’ve checked out and submitted your order, you will be given an estimated ‘ready by’ time. Waiting time varies according to the store and time of day. Once your order is ready for pick-up, you will receive a notification message via the Starbucks® Singapore app.


Why didn’t I receive a notification message for my Mobile Order?

Please ensure Notifications are allowed under Settings in the Starbucks® Singapore app and that push notifications have been enabled in your mobile device.


Can I change the wait time of my order after I’ve placed it?

After placing an order through Mobile Order & Pay, the order is immediately sent to the selected store and our baristas will begin the process of making the order. Hence, you will not be able to change the wait time of your order once it has been placed.

What is the average wait-time for a Mobile Order & Pay order?

Wait times vary depending on a variety of factors, such as store traffic, number of items in your order etc.

I am an existing Starbucks Singapore® app user. How do I access the Order feature?

If you are an existing user of Starbucks Singapore® app, check the App Store or Google Play Store to ensure the app has been updated to the latest version. In some cases, users may need to delete the old version of the app and reinstall the latest version.

Can I order the drink to arrive at a time of my choosing?

There isn’t an option to specify order pick-up time. The mobile ordering feature will provide you with an approximate wait time and once you’ve placed your order, you can proceed to the selected store within the approximate ‘ready by’ time to pick up your order. Be sure to place your order only when you're near.

Can I place an order without paying over the app?

To process an order placed through Mobile Pay & Order, payment must first be completed via a registered Starbucks Card through the Starbucks® Singapore app.
